Job Description

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

The SERVICE RECEPTIONIST HOSTESS will be reporting to the service Manager and will be responsible for significantly contributing to the enhancement of the purchasing experience of customers and visitors by the provision of professional and courteous service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

CATERING

  • Serve courtesy beverages and light snacks when required.
  • Keep beverage area in showroom constantly supplied and clean at all times
  • Adhere to correct tray layout and serving procedures
  • Proficient in making hot beverages and serving within expected timeframe
  • Follow prescribed procedures for entering and exiting offices and or meeting rooms
  • Maintain adequate stock of groceries to ensure consistent supply (Requisition Service reception/meeting room hospitality supplies).
  • Wash up cups, plates and cutlery
  • Clear away empty plates and cups within offices and meeting rooms
  • Demonstrate excellent hygiene standards at all times
  • Follow daily schedules
  • Maintain high standards of etiquette
  • Follow company’s safety and ANZEN regulations
  • Support serving of beverages and meals for meetings as identified.

 

CLEANING

  • Dust down tables and windows in empty offices and meeting rooms before laying out food and drinks.
  • Prepare meeting rooms.
  • Dispose of leftover food hygienically
  • Ensure kitchen is kept clean and hygienic at all times.
  • Ensure meeting rooms, service reception areas / counters are always neat, clean and well presented.

 

SERVICE RECEPTION ASSISTANCE

  • Assistance to customers in the service reception area.
  • General assistance to the front-line staff.
  • Temporary replaces / stand-in for Receptionists (lunch or other short break)
  • Receive and greet all customers
  • Any other tasks or responsibilities as identified from time to time

 

 

 

Education & Experience

  • Diploma in Hotel management and hospitality or related.
  • Experience in the tourism and hospitality industry – a must.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, with additional language skills being an advantage.
  • Capacity to deal with complaints, conflict and criticism.
  • Time management.
  • Customer service.

Salary: ZMW6,000 – ZMW7,000
